Printed, invisible data memory with a capacitive readout...
... which can be integrated in different surfaces and products.
Product specification:
Plastic electronic is a pioneer in producing and distributing printed, capacitive electronic components on plastic foils. In the course of developing these components, plastic electronic has realised a technology for a printed 16bit data memory. This memory is build-on invisible conductive structures and can be printed on paper or plastic. The data can be read out by applying the memory on a readout-terminal. The memory function can be realised by only one additional printing step.
Product benefits:
- Barcodes and magnetic strips can be replaced by the invisible plastic electronic data memory, which leads to the following advantages:
- Increased protection against forgery (it cannot be copied)
- Increased economic life-time (it cannot be scratched on the surface)
- Improved visual appearance (the memory doesn’t take any space on the product surface)
- Design and geometrical dimension can be configured optional within certain requirements.
- Cost effective manufacturing process, because only one additional printing step is necessary.
- Multifaceted application spectrum: in trade to bedight products with additional information; for daily business life to complement interactive features, like a link to the homepage, on a business card.
Application example e-Ticket:
The e-Ticket is an entrance card with integrated memory function. It can be used for sportive or cultural major events. Additional information, like the directions to the personal seat sector can be recorded on the ticket. The information can be displayed on terminals to the visitors. Plastic electronic has realized a first prototype of the e-Ticket for an entrance card for the EM08.
